    1. Always such a pleasure to hear from you hope all is okay thanks for commenting once again I sincerely appreciate it Lauren

  3. metaphoric.. got a bad habit of dwelling on opinions and labels for far too long. i thought about a metaphor with electric current, that causes a sustained contraction. The victim may be unable to let go of the source of the current, making the duration of the contact longer and increasing the severity of the shock. i noticed the longer i dwell on the issues the more stressed i become therefore increasing the shock. so here we have again the option the choice of, if or how long we decide to hold onto the labeling. just a thought.

  4. I know that personally, my brain became “mush” during lockdown… I feel the thing that I missed the most was being around other people just having a connection even if it was in passing… I forgot what day it was the date my memory started to go a little bit because I needed that connection with other people, but I also needed some type of schedule and there was none…. and it still seems like people are distancing themselves from one another emotionally even though there’s no lockdown anymore… anyone noticing that in there environment that people seem to be distancing themselves from one another except in my case it seems that it’s because they don’t feel trusting about it or comfortable with it?

  5. lauren thank you and have patience with us here in the community because we are here for a reason or we wouldn’t be here if we where ok, there may be many triggers or signs you may notice in here from us personally for me if i was 100 percent in control believe me i wouldn’t even be logging into here. there are a lot of camouflaged, hidden demeanors that are internal we ourselves cannot see, but you have and know where they are coming from as you have stated, so we are learning, you may say its a call out for help. thanks again.

  6. Need to learn more case I don’t have it finger out yet cause you show me this so do yes I Thank you for making me understand these things so much batter I not like it I understand it .thanks

  7. It’s very difficult to sum up the meaning of our existence and how we as mortal imperfect fallible creatures screw it up. The premise of cbt and rebt is extensive but it like all systems we create has limitations so does every aspect we pontificate over. We use judgement that is objective and subjective which colors our heuristics. It’s all ok. Labels have purpose if they are considered as not immutable or having no other variables. Someone is narcissistic even pathologically so but they are other things too. Egoic makes sense in some perspectives and in others is a made up label to express one notion. Ego, super ego id, well you know that archaic drill. Using an anthropological idea that we are herd animals with primate brains is another notion that may or may not have empirical validity. We have been trying to understand ourselves since genesis. We feel joy suffering love hate aggression blah blah. Your summation is spot on. Balance! We can judge but question that judgement open up your mind to see the bigger picture. I don’t give up myself by judging or saying I am or creating a narrative. I give myself but not allowing for another narrative or judgement. Compassion and kindness rather then vitriol or dispassion. Using a higher standard of processing our thoughts and feelings balancing our primitive mind from our higher mind. Life is complex and loaded with tough challenges. It’s not fair and the universe has no opinion of our fate or us. But we can choose how we act, feel and treat each other and ourselves. Without the challenges and pain or better in spite of them we can feel joy and happiness as all emotions are transient. I’m happy to try and sustain neutral! ❤

    1. Goodness me this is an amazing amazing comment I have just woken up it’s 5:33 am and I’ve wrote this comment you are the type of person I would love to have a cup of tea with thank you for this amazing amazing comment I love the way your brain thinks and processes much love Lauren

    2. @Lauren Ostrowski Fenton
Good morning. I screwed up one part so it doesn’t make sense. Correction I don’t subscribe to not having self narratives. I just create a new one. Each moment is a new narrative. The statement “I am” is a certification of I am- I exist. If I then subjugate it by saying I am depressed it means I feel this it doesn’t define who I am. This is where positive affirmations fail they are like gaslighting one self. But if I say I am going to enjoy nature or I am going to or I am joyful or ok or happy it’s an assertion of my state at that moment. That moment changes. We change it redefine it recreate it choose to alter it. When we don’t we suffer the consequences which is ok, if we’re ok with that and even that doesn’t define us. It’s aspects of a multidimensional thinking feeling organism.
I would love to have tea with you and pontificate the universe of the mind and mankind. But you’ll have to fly here to the USA. I don’t fly. I wasn’t going to comment since I’m really wordy and didn’t think I’d be able to get my perspective clear enough and of course in twenty minutes I may change it again. Our lives are a fluid process that has twists and turns that are different for each of us. There is no one answer or solution to our issues there are many. We can only travel together toward the end of our journey and try and enjoy and love as much of it as we can. It’s the journey not the destination. Have a splendid Ausie day!

  8. inner ephemeral awareness on my perception of myself and life… letting go attachment. I’m meditating for the next few hours. It’s 10:40am here in San Francisco. I locked in.
    I get the homework .

  9. Lauren, hi. Maybe whatever I write only amounts to words. You put it ‘all’ in a nutshell. Am about to graduate with Marissa Peer RTT School. But in one half an hour you susinctly put it all together. And it explained two years of intense study for me. More 🎉hanks to you than words can say. Maybe ‘thank you’ is a good sticky feeling of grace and gratitude. Love to you beautiful Lady. cx
