  2. Hey Lauren, I just listen to this and I’m so happy that I came across this topic and that you explained it the way you did was extremely helpful to me…
    At this time, my peace of mind and my healing, and the process of healing has been going on for a few years now, and I am having not necessarily trust issues, but being involved not intentionally in relationships, where I feel that there’s not mutual respect, and that I am being hurt by other people in my immediate environment, and in my work place, where it has nothing to do with me But I’m aware that it has everything to do with the other person… my top priority right now, is my own peace and my commitment to myself to continue to heal so what you just said, put it in perspective for me because I am now operating from a place of emotion, and my ego is taking over instead whereas before I knew what the situation was, I knew what it was that I needed to do and I was able to sit quietly, and just listen to what my intuition was telling me to do….
    Because I have been going through these personal changes I have made a decision to stop most of my relationships so I’m in a transformation. Where I’m essentially in no specific, romantic relationship and no specific friendship I’m in the process of healing myself and wanting to form healthier relationships so I find myself alone in many respects until I reach that point where I’m able to build healthier relationships and I can’t do that unless I do that within myself.
    So, in my case, I am now looking for another job, because the one that I am in right now, I have been consistently disrespected in a way that I would find a rationale to it so that I may continue to have this job .
    And then, after listening to you, I made a decision to go out and look for a different job one that feels more positive to me not one in which I am involved with someone who is continuously being disrespectful to me .
    It’s not said I have trust issues because I’m well aware that overtime in through the pattern of certain behaviors who am able to trust in Hwy right now I am not able to trust and then that’s where the boundaries come up .
    It seems like the only person that I care about is myself, but in the most positive ways and I care about the way I’m treated by others I care about being respected, and the main reason is because I’ve started to develop a healthy sense of who I am, and what I feel, I deserve ….
    I always gift to myself what it is I wish others will also give it to me. I don’t demanded I don’t seek it out. I just know that I want to be treated in the same way that I treat myself. .
    But then I started to make excuses for the other person, and that’s where I was starting to have a tremendous amount of anxiety, because then I was starting to make excuses for being treated in a way that wasn’t feeling right to me .
    I do have a therapist, but where I live, it’s very difficult to find someone who has the time because there are so many people who are struggling right now to listen to all of the things that I wish to work on, so I have to do a lot of that within myself and with the help of people that I find such as yourself on YouTube.
    You are a guide to me. You are a reminder to me as you were just now avoid it is that I need to start going back to, and that is to listen to my gut feelings, and then proceed to take action to do what I can to protect myself , and in this case it has to do with boundaries, but it also has to do with making a decision that I have to look for a different job.
    It’s so obvious to me that the person who is disrespecting me is not going to be any different, so I’m the one who has to be different and go back to the way I was and make the changes myself .
    I apologize for the lengthy comment, but I find that when I listen to you, it puts me back into perspective once again it’s almost as if when I’m listening to you it’s a little bit of a nudge and a reminder to me to get back on track again….
    It is true when people say you don’t know what I’m going through that it’s not just one thing …. But by listening to what you are speaking about, I find myself back in a position where I’m allowing other people to have more power over me in my mind when I need to give the power back to myself.
    So, thank you very much for the reminder ….
    I apologize for the lengthy response, but I think that all of us are going through situations that are difficult to describe in a short response …
    I just want to say thank you and thank you for your guidance and wisdom …
    It helped me too understand that I was getting off track so to speak…

  3. when people say you don’t know what im going through i can assure you that you do, because as human beings and animals we all suffer from the same things, the feelings inside are all the same you dont have to know exactly the personal details of an individual. Personally, Lauren you know nothing of my issues as i have never spoken to you about them, but when i listen to you it is as if you know exactly what im feeling, because as i have said before we all suffer from the same feelings. that’s why when you have kids you pass on to them your knowledge and advise them about life because you know they are going to experience exactly what you have already been through. there is an old saying that goes “been there done that. used to express past experience of or overfamiliarity with something or someone.
