Each sleep stage plays a part in allowing your mind and body to wake up refreshed. Understanding the sleep cycle also helps explain how certain sleep disorders, including insomnia and obstructive sleep apnea can impact a person’s sleep and health.

We think of sleep as state of passive rest and sedation. But while you're sleeping, your brain and body are doing complex and wonderful things!

  1. I’d love to sleep although there’s those days when it’s hard to go to sleep either the mattress or the blankets or the pillows just trying to find that right position thank you for this great information….
