  3. Thank you for this Lauren you are one of the few people that I come across who actually expresses that we are all coping or having to deal with either chaos or toxic family members and that we are the ones who are in control of the way we cope or the way we think about it And how to take the focus off of what it is that we are resisting outside of ourselves and excepting what is but focusing back on ourselves again it’s the only way to heal is to place the focus back on yourself and give yourself all the love, validation, parenting, attention, or whatever You were seeking outside of yourself is all that you can give back to yourself you don’t need others to validate or to feel OK within yourself…. Once I realize that I was the one in control of my thinking, that’s when my thinking changed the only other option was staying, unaware and unconscious along with others… you cannot avoid toxic people you cannot always separate from them physically, but you can do every single thing in your own mind to separate yourself if you can’t do so physically…. You are the only person that I have come across who offers this type of advice within a meditation…. for myself, your meditations have been life-changing to me because they’re very validating….ty so much ❤

    1. Pam, I am truly humbled by your comment. I have just read it. What a beautiful beautiful comment with so much wisdom. Yes we are in control of our thinking but that control is not always easy and requires skill. I am so impressed with your awareness and I’m so sorry that you’ve experienced pain. Thinking of you Pam and so excited I saw this comment. Love Lauren

    2. @Lauren Ostrowski Fenton your thoughts resonate with me… we think alike, except I look to you to help guide me since I consider myself freshly aware of all the toxicity that I’ve been involved in for the greater part of my life.. well let me just say I was aware that it didn’t feel OK. I just didn’t know what exactly to do with it…. And again you just answered with the thought I was having in that is that it is so challenging. In fact, it’s a daily practice that you must work on… and I know I don’t need to say this to you, but I fall back all the time and then I get back up and I start over again because I know that the healing journey is not a linear one so again the only option I have in my mind is to be really gentle with myself…. I don’t know if this is going to make sense to you, but chances are it will lol but sometimes being aware of all the chaos and all the toxicity produces anxiety in and of itself, just knowing that you’re involved in these types of relationships create a lot of anxiety because I haven’t yet mastered. (If ever) the form of self control that I am speaking of… and you know what that’s OK…. I will prelude what I’m about to say that this is not a criticism of others but in all seriousness, meditation is a wonderful form of healing, but most people along with meditation need a little help with coping skills, and like I said before you are the only person I have come across that actually combined the two….. it’s wonderful and really effective…. I have a friend who is a recovering alcoholic and he once said to me that the only people who have helped him are those who have been through it themselves, and who have been successful in their recovery, and that’s how I feel about anything, including your own mental health and just trying to navigate your way out of situation is that aren’t healthy for you…. it is only those people who have been through it, and have successfully used certain ways of thinking or methods are the ones that come back and teach us and help us on how to best cope with it it’s not really someone giving us an answer it’s someone giving us the tools….
I believe it’s what we all need, and I completely understand how therapeutic it is for you to be offering this to all of us… I was really resisting all the compassion that you were discussing lol I think it’s starting to sync, and how important it is to be compassionate, even towards those who may be hurtful…. But that’s when boundaries are so important because you can have compassion, but take care of yourself at the same time…

  4. Btw…. In my humble opinion, this was really a masterpiece of a meditation. It’s like you’re combining the therapeutic value of meditation and offering advice at the same time…. I loved this one…and I love the way you think 💯💯💯💯
