  1. In running, your mental state will effect your performance severely. I am a cross country runner and if you are having a bad day and you run a race the chances of getting one of your best times is very low. My best time in the 5K is 16:59 and on a bad day I can get above 17 minutes.

    1. Oh that’s exactly what I found. The mental aspect is HUGE. I couldn’t think straight for the first mile, and any “plan” I thought I had was toast.
